Project organizes training event for caregivers of children with special needs
11 December 2019
The Food Safety Project organized a presentation at Tirana’s ProPak Service Centre, which provides services for children with special needs.
The Clean Hands Presentation was conducted by Vanessa Cooling, a project expert from Ireland, and was part of the centre’s Personal Autonomy Course.
Twelve ProPak therapists, currently serving 47 children, were present at the training session along with several parents and children.
Food safety measures are essential to reduce the risk of foodborne illnesses and hand washing after any activity before sitting down to eat is very important to reduce and prevent this risk.
The activity at the ProPak Centre was the first of its kind and part of a series of planned food safety education presentations.
